BBC Introduces New Hindi Program on Radio

Photo by Shashi UttamThe BBC World Service Trust, on Friday, kicked off its new Hindi radio program 'Aangan ke Paar' aimed at women in general at a function organized at Patna's Hotel Maurya in the presence of BBC India representative Andrew Whitehead.

The host and editor of the show Rupa Jha told the reporters the new program would be broadcast on 22 channels of the Akaashvani and BBC Hindi in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh and will cater mainly to the women discussing issues related with their health and household.

"The program is aimed at empowering women by making them aware of those issues that directly affect them," Jha said.
