The Christian Science Monitor has again published a commentary opposing budget cuts at the Voice of America. This time the commentary is by John Hughes, a former editor of the Monitor, who served as VOA Director in the Reagan administration. Hughes is one of the 11 former VOA Directors who have petitioned Congress to restore the eliminated funding.
