Kenya Broadcasting Corporation plans September changes

Kenya’s state broadcaster will be split into two in September, the Government has confirmed in an interview with Dennis Itumbi for journalism.co.za. The radio stations under the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) will be run by a private company – which the state insists it is still looking for while maintaining that the move will take off in the next two months.

“Yes, that means the state broadcaster will have two arms one Public and the other Private,” Information permanent secretary Bitange Ndemo said in an interview on the sidelines of a communications workshop in Western Kenya.
